I first met this versatile, super-talented writer and life-saving editor through ASMSG (Author Social Media Support Group). Through it, we knew each other only peripherally, but that all changed when I reached out and hired her as an editor/formatter for my first two books. Having had them originally published through a small press, I told her I needed help in becoming an Indie author. Her response was immediate and highly supportive. Indeed, she became nothing short of invaluable to me, as she took the time to explain basic editorial things such as POV and character development, as well as how to upload my books onto Amazon and Draft2Digital. I soon came to realize that being under her calm, steady tutelage was as if I’d gone to back to college as a writing major and snagged the best professor.

In time, the more I got to know her, the more the phrase “still waters run deep” sifted through my mind. Not a trite, gushy person, all her comments, whether it be about work or the world at large were deep and insightful. Loyalty and honesty were her credos, and for that I will be eternally grateful. In addition, as we continued on in our relationship (with her heavy editing and formatting for my next three books), to my delight, I also discovered she could share a good belly laugh, filled with irony and wisdom. Thank you, thank you, dear Pat! I owe you so much!

Here’s her Bio:

P.C. Zick describes herself as a storyteller no matter what she writes. And she writes in a variety of genres, including romance, contemporary fiction, and nonfiction. She’s won various awards for her essays, columns, editorials, articles, and fiction. Currently, crafting fiction—mostly romances—occupies her time.

Many of her novels contain stories of Florida and its people and environment, which she credits as giving her a rich base for her storytelling. She says, “Florida’s quirky and abundant wildlife – both human and animal – supply my fiction with tales almost too weird to be believable.” The three novels in her Florida Fiction series explore rural, state, and global politics, address the fight between environmentalists and developers, and capture the lives of the people struggling to survive it all. With touches of humor and romance, these novels trace Florida’s history, delve into current events, and imagine future impacts of both.

The three novels in her Behind the Love trilogy are also set in Florida. From love at first sight, to giving love a second chance to friends turning to lovers, the novels run the spectrum of the contemporary romance genre.

Ms. Zick’s Smoky Mountain Romances are all set in southwestern North Carolina and filled with sweet novellas perfect for retreating into the lives of people living in the mountains.

Her latest endeavor of sweet romances, Rivals in Love, takes readers to Chicago and the Crandall family as six siblings of a famous politician attempt to find romance. The first book in the series, Love on Trial, will be released in early 2017 with Love on Board to follow in the spring.

No matter the genre, her novels contain elements of romance with strong female characters, handsome heroes, and descriptive settings. She believes in living lightly upon this earth with love, laughter, and passion, and through her fiction, she imparts this philosophy in an entertaining manner with an obvious love for her characters, plot, and themes.
