Four years ago, through the support group ASMSG, I met the delightfully funny cozy mystery writer Amy Metz. Reading her first book, MURDER & MAYHEM IN GOOSE PIMPLE JUNCTION, turned me onto great characters, a well-conceived plot, and southern wit and charm. Being a northern gal, with a touch of the Southwest, it was a real education to take in all of these qualities, highlighted by her playful southern phrases. Yet she turned out to be so much more. In spite of my being a newbie at this whole writing business, she invited me onto her blog as a feature/interviewee. I was so ignorant back then, I didn’t even know how to write a thank you comment on her blog! But she didn’t seem to care. She continued to put out her welcome mat to me, asking me back onto her site a couple more times and reading and reviewing my books. At one point when I asked her to beta read one of my books, in spite of her being very busy with family, she managed to read my WIP and squeeze in good, insightful comments to boot!

So thank you, Amy, for all your kindness, and for helping the term “Southern Hospitality” ring true!
